VACCINES PREVENT DISEASE!

Health Services stocks and administers all the vaccines listed below. No appointment necessary to receive most vaccines. If you are enrolled in the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) these vaccines are covered at 100%. If you have other insurance, call your insurance carrier for coverage details. What vaccines should I get while I am in college?
- Varicella (Chicken Pox): recommended for anyone born after 1957, who has not had chicken pox
- Tdap (Tetanus/Whooping Cough): booster recommended one time for all adults
- Td (Tetanus): booster recommended every 10 years
- MMR (Measles/Mumps/Rubella): 1 booster in adulthood
- Meningococcal (Meningitis): recommended for all adolescents aged 16 - 21 years; a booster is recommended if the vaccine was given prior to 16 years of age
- Hepatitis A: recommended for anyone who lives in Idaho or who is traveling out of the USA
- Hepatitis B: recommended for all individuals
- Hepatitis A& B (combination): saves time and money, and is as effective as the individual vaccines
- Gardasil (HPV): recommended for both males and females ages 9 - 26 years
- Pneumovax (Pneumonia): recommended for any adult 19 - 64 years of age who is a smoker or has asthma, and recommended for all individuals over age 60
- Influenza (Flu): recommended for everyone on campus on a yearly basis
